Common Vision is working with Arts Council England to research young people’s views on culture, creativity and cultural education. Commissioned by the Department for Education (DfE) and the Department for Digital, Culture, Media & Sport (DCMS), the project will support children and young people to share their experiences of arts and culture and consider what young people need to access and enjoy cultural and creative experiences. Insights will be shared directly with government officials.
We want to hear from a diverse range of young people aged under-25 across England, from those who have an active interest in culture and creative opportunities as well as those who haven't had many opportunities to get involved. Here's how you can help:
Share the questionnairePlease share this 10-minute online questionnaire with young people in your networks: https://tinyurl.com/YPculture.
This questionnaire is open to all young people in England under-25. Respondents will be entered into a prize draw for the chance to win a £50 voucher.
Host a workshop/ nominate a Youth Facilitator
Young people can also take part in the project by becoming Youth Facilitators, who will receive training and payment to conduct youth-led workshops with other young people who they already know. Workshops must take place by mid-June, with online training sessions scheduled for the next couple of weeks. If you work with a youth advisory group or forum who might be interested in holding a workshop, or if you'd like to nominate an individual young person, please complete this expression of interest form.
Spread the word on social mediaPlease help ensure as many young people as possible can share their views and experiences as part of this project. See here for some social media graphics you can use.
