Dance in Cancer Care - Practitioner Training
Be a part of the Dance in Cancer Care movement.
Led by Move Dance Feel, this movement aspires to make dance available to everyone living with and beyond cancer. Addressing the current inequality in cancer care, we are a growing network of practitioners working at the intersection of dance and health.
The Dance in Cancer Care - Practitioner Training programme has been created to offer a practice space for dance artists who wish to lead dance in this context based on Move Dance Feel’s pioneering, evidence based methodology.
Dance and Health - Advancing Your Practice - deadline to apply 19 April
As the number of dance and health initiatives multiply, in response to severe population health challenges and devastating world events, there is a need to skilfully equip and grow the number of artists delivering the work.
This training opportunity has been designed by artists, for artists, in response to this need. It is an invitation to expand your practice, refining artistic and facilitation skills, within a community of care.
It offers a space for artists (who often work in isolation) to come together to resource themselves, learn from one another, engage with reflexive practice, and explore both the rewards and complexities of working in the field of dance and health.
Training is delivered across 4 months, both in person (in London, UK) and online. Further information can be found in the attached overview documents and via the webpages (hyperlinks above). We are welcoming applications until 19 April 2024.
