In 2023, CHWA worked with the Wales Arts, Health & Wellbeing Network, Arts, Culture, Health & Wellbeing Scotland, and Arts Care (Northern Ireland) to conduct two surveys: one to understand the State of the Sector, and another to gather Equality, Diversity and Representation data for the creative health workforce. CHWA is committed to understanding more about and improving equity in creative health and this EDR data has now been analysed by Jonathan Tang (University of Sheffield) and presented in this pdf.
The aim of the State of the Sector Equality, Diversity, and Representation Survey is to help us better understand the current landscape of the creative health sector in the UK. Due to the limited sample size, caution must be exercised when interpreting this data in comparison to the ACE’s report and the ONS’ census data. Nevertheless, the results from this report will provide invaluable insights as we embark on the next phase of our Equality Action Plan. You can read the findings here. Thank you for taking the time to view these results. We welcome all feedback on our findings.
