Climate panel at A Culture of Care (CHWA conference April 2021)

This panel was part of A Culture of Care, our national conference in April 2021. We're making it public now after COP26 recognising the increased importance of discussing climate in relation to creativity, health and wellbeing.

The Culture, Health & Wellbeing Alliance declares a Climate and Ecological Emergency

The Culture, Health & Wellbeing Alliance pledges to work with and support the organisations and individuals we work with, as well as our partners in health, social care and local government in tackling this Emergency, and we call on others to do the same.

 

Climate Award 2020

2020 was the first year of the Culture, Health & Wellbeing Alliance awards - including our Climate Award in partnership with Happy Museum and Culture Declares Emergency. Read about all the shortlisted projects here.

Ministerial commitment

Along with fellow G20 Culture Ministers, Caroline Dinenage MP has adopted the Rome Declaration of the G20 Culture Ministers: a 32-point statement focusing on five priorities:

  1. The protection of cultural heritage and tackling illicit trafficking;
  2. Addressing the climate crisis through culture;
  3. Building capacity through training and education;
  4. Digital transition and new technologies for culture; and
  5. Creative industries as drivers for sustainable and balanced growth.
